As the only organ in the United Nations legally capable of taking coercive action against member states, the Security Council always has a full agenda. From the conflict in Darfur, to the situation in Georgia, dozens of destabilizing conflicts are occurring throughout the world that demand the Security Council’s attention. It is up to the delegates in this committee to decide which ones they want to tackle first. Note: The open agenda Security Council is for creative, experienced Model UN delegates who like spontaneity and have a good background on current events. This committee is single-delegate.
